Shop at the marts for regional produce, such as chestnuts, virgin olive oils, prosciutto (the Tuscan raw ham), pecorino (ewes’ cheese), and savory breads. The countryside of Colonnata is understood because its exceptional pig lard that is covered with various spices and matured for 6 months in special marble tanks.
